Mark your calendars and prepare your hearts—we invite you to our June 2025 First Friday Friars Retreat as we join the Men on the Mountain retreat hosted by the Santiago Retreat Center.
​
This transformative 24-hour experience will take place at The Hermitage, high above Orange County in the Santa Ana Mountains. With a stunning backdrop of nature and sacred silence, we will focus on the theme:
“Life Is Worth Living – The Four Last Things”
​
Together, we’ll confront the ultimate realities: Death, Judgment, Heaven, and Hell—truths that awaken the soul and realign our purpose as Catholic men.

Featured Speaker: Dr. Scott French
We are honored to welcome Dr. Scott French, a board-certified Emergency Physician and board member of the Magis Center.
​
After witnessing an alarming rise in youth depression and despair, Dr. French began a personal journey to reconcile science and faith. His discovery of the Shroud of Turin in 2015 sparked a deeper investigation into medical and scientific evidence supporting eternal life, the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, and the authenticity of the Shroud.

Drawing from near-death experiences and years in emergency medicine, Dr. French will show how faith and science together point to something far greater than this world—a message of hope especially relevant in our age of disbelief.

Registration & Cost
This retreat is included in your annual First Friday Friars membership dues.
However, if you wish to make an additional voluntary donation to support the Santiago Retreat Center, you are welcome to do so at the time of registration.
